The Open Belgian Championship J/80 2022 winner is ... ?
Ow ow, only ONE winner in a fleet of 17 boats?
Every participating boat has been a winner: 2 days of excellent racing conditions, a nice competition level with lots of learning opportunities and a prize for each boat!
More than enough reasons to celebrate this with a pizza and free beer on the social event Saturday evening!
Aha, but it was a racing weekend, who was the first one?
Well, we had a nice breakfast on Sunday with free coffee and "koffiekoeken", so indeed, some sailors raced to be the first in line at the coffee table. But, the Race Committee and Jury (thanks a lot Michel Couliou, Philippe Godeau and Jean-Philippe Coenen for your time and effort!) could not clearly register the very first one... 😉
No no, I mean, who was the first one to finish? And yes, on the water and for both days together and with discards included!
Aah, that's clear now, yes, we have that result and a nice podium 👏 :

Flanders Trophy leg 5 & 6 (3-4/09/2022)
Again what a weekend! Superb sailing weather, up-downwind courses with a gate and the needed competition: what do we need more? 🥳
Yesss, maybe a nice food truck on Saturday evening and a breakfast Sunday morning? All foreseen!😎
Big thanks go to our Race Committee, Jury and all the volunteers who helped serving us this sailing festival!
And last but not least: we need to thank the KYCN (and especially Xavier Van Oost!) for organizing the whole event! 👌 👏

Youth Introduction Weekend (22-23/10/2022) [Nieuwpoort]
Lots of our teams are searching for good (new or extra) crew to be able to participate on all our events. We could already find 25 motivated sailing instructors from Sport Vlaanderen who would like to discover the fun and competition in our J/80 class during this weekend.
